China is on the rise. It is building naval ships at a rate faster than the U.S. It views the Pacific as its area, not ours. It is ruled by a fascist communist government. That government does not care about human individuals. People are resources for the good of the nation. If and when China ever collapses, horrific abuses like the Gulag system and mass graves will be uncovered (President Reagan was able to out-spend Russia, but China is so much further along with its economy that if and when their economy comes substantially online outspending them may not be possible). The communist government has spies stealing every bit of technology they can worldwide, because their culture (like all socialist and communist cultures before them) is incapable of innovating on its own and as a core tenant could care less about property rights. They are connecting themselves with all of the worst regimes in the world for power and influence (old model communist-style thinking), as opposed to working with the better nations for the betterment of the world. They will become an aggressive, expansionist, domineering power. This will frighten Russia to their North. To balance against this, Russia and America (and England) will become best buddies over the next 50 years. The Russians have a lot more in common with us than they do the Chinese. Forget Spanish and French. The languages for today’s children to learn for the future are Russian and Chinese (an Arabic).
